Ramadan 1397H Imsakiah

Ramadan 1397H begins on Monday, 15 August 1977 and runs for 30 days, ending on 13 September 1977. On the first day, Suhoor (Imsak) in Mecca ends at 04:38 and Iftar is at 18:51 Mecca time. By the final day, Iftar shifts to 18:26 as the days change length through the month.

Suhoor is the pre-dawn meal that must finish by Imsak, when the daily fast begins; Iftar is the meal that breaks the fast at sunset (Maghrib). Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree, is sought in the odd nights of the last ten days, most commonly observed on the 27th night.
