What O (Oscar) Means

In military and aviation contexts, times are often expressed in a 24-hour format followed by the zone letter, such as 0800O (8:00 AM Oscar time). The offset is constant throughout the year, as Oscar does not observe daylight saving time (DST). However, some regions within the zone may shift to a different offset during DST, but the Oscar designation itself remains fixed at UTC-2.
