jQuery Timer
If you're trying to stay on task, manage workouts, juggle time zones, or just stop burning the toast, this all-in-one timer tool is built to make timing simple—no matter how you're using it. Whether you're setting a Pomodoro session, timing laps, or syncing across time zones, everything’s right here in one interface.
All the Modes You Actually Need
Stopwatch
This one's for tracking how long something takes, plain and simple. Whether you're timing a run or seeing how long a task drags on, you can start, pause, resume, and stop it. You can even turn on lap tracking to mark sections within the session—each lap shows up with its own breakdown.
Countdown
Set a time, and it counts down to zero. You’ll get an alert when time’s up. It’s ideal for cooking, short breaks, or keeping presentations tight. You can set hours, minutes, and seconds manually, and it’ll show you the remaining time and percentage progress as it runs.
Pomodoro Timer
This breaks your time into work and break intervals, with adjustable durations. You can set how long each work session, short break, and long break lasts. It even knows to give you a long break every fourth round. Perfect for those trying to stay focused without burning out.
Interval Training
For workouts or repetitive tasks, you can define how long to work, how long to rest, and how many rounds to go. It keeps track of rounds, displays current progress, and plays sound alerts as you move through intervals.
Alarm Clock
Pick a time, and it will alert you when that moment arrives. There's even a “daily repeat” option, turning it into a simple repeating alarm. It shows how much time is left until the alarm goes off and lets you choose your time zone so you're on point no matter where you are.
How to Use It Without Overthinking It
- Pick your timer mode from the dropdown: Stopwatch, Countdown, Pomodoro, Interval, or Alarm.
- Select your time zone—this matters for displaying current time and scheduled alarm times.
- Depending on the mode, enter your desired times or configurations. For example:
- Countdown: Set hours, minutes, and seconds.
- Pomodoro: Choose work/break durations.
- Interval: Set work/rest durations and how many rounds.
- Alarm: Select a target time and whether it repeats daily.
- Optional: Choose extras like sound alerts, auto-start, or showing milliseconds (especially useful in stopwatch mode).
- Hit the Start Timer button. Pause, stop, reset, or log lap times from there as needed.
Bonus Features That Make Life Easier
- Time Format Toggle: Flip between 12-hour and 24-hour clocks at any time with a single button.
- Sound Alerts: Useful for when you’re working in another tab—get notified the moment a timer finishes or a new interval starts.
- Lap Times: If you enable laps in stopwatch mode, you can log and review each lap. There's a full list showing each segment and total elapsed time.
- Auto Start: If you're in Pomodoro or interval mode and want to jump to the next round without clicking anything, just check the auto-start box.
- Timezone Awareness: Timers and alarms adapt to your selected region, so you're covered if you're coordinating across coasts or continents.
What If Something’s Not Working Right?
- Countdown Timer won’t start? Make sure the total time is greater than zero. It won’t run on all zeroes.
- Lap button not visible? It only shows up in stopwatch mode, and only when "Enable Lap Times" is checked.
- Accidentally closed the tab? As long as you didn’t close the browser, the timer picks up where it left off (within the same tab session).
- Alarm not ringing? Double-check your sound alerts are enabled and your browser allows sound playback. Also, make sure the alarm time is in the future.
Keep Your Schedule Tight Without Keeping Your Eye on the Clock
This timer’s not trying to do too much—it just brings together the core ways people actually use timers and gives them the controls they wish they had. Whether you're sprinting through tasks, staying on pace in a workout, or just trying to wake up on time, this tool makes it a lot easier to stay in rhythm with your day.
