Does the date duration include the end date?

Quick Answer: The date duration does not include the end date by default. It counts the days from the start date up to, but not including, the end date. If you want to include the end date, you usually add one extra day to the total duration.

When you calculate how many days are between two dates, the standard way is to count the days starting from the first date and stopping just before the last date. This means the end date is excluded.

If you want to count both the start and end dates as full days, you simply add one day to the difference. This is handy for events or stays where both the arrival and departure dates matter.
